Did 60 miles yesterday. Fairly damp day but managed to stay dry. Good cycle route between Les Sables d'Olonne and St Giles Croix de Vie but otherwise riding along busy roads or over developed coast. Stayed with the Miles family at Camping Clarys Plage, camping furtively in from if their hut. Went to the circus in the evening - first time for me. Quite surprised they still are allowed to have lions and tigers in the ring. Felt sorry for the juggler because he kept dropping stuff. Also passed the 500 mile mark yesterday.
Left at 10am this morning and turned in land with the wind on our backs. Speeds of 14 to 18 with little effort, very nice. Had an exceptional lunch at Sallertaine (see picture). Buffet starter followed by fish in a cream and garlic source. Currently in Machecoul for third coffee of the day.
