> Arrived at Camping Des Pins n Soulac Sur Mer. Very friendly campsite - in fact, the further north we travel the more friendly and relaxed things seem to be getting. The extreme south west of france seems to be quite a stressed out place - most of the french nation compressed into a 5 mile strip along the coast. We decided to blast up the D roads today rather than going slowly up the tracks through the forest and managed to arrive before 4pm, which has given us some time to relax and catch up with things. The wind was very much against us, so we formed our very own tour-de-france style autobus - the only snag being I had to do all the work at the front!

> Anyhow, here is a photo of Sally busy with her iphone and another of the Maries office in Carcans - most of the building appears to have been demolished and replaced by a modern structure, but the original facade remains a few meters in front of the new building. The facade and the church next door are both made of the same stone, which must have been very recently cleaned up.
